Branch Manager - Bondeni Branch (Mombasa)
  • As Branch Manager, you are the strategic driver of Branch profitability and market penetration. You will be responsible for leading a team, ensuring operational excellence, delighting customers, and aligning all activities to the Bank’s overarching strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Drive Business Growth & Market Presence
  • Lead aggressive execution of business development initiatives to grow customer base, deposits, and lending.
  • Develop and implement branch business plans, budgets, and forecasts, adjusting as needed to meet dynamic market needs.
  • Support marketing initiatives and monitor and provide regular feedback on products performance.
2. Deliver Operational Excellence & Compliance
  • Champion a superior customer experience that fosters satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Enforce rigorous risk management practices, optimize costs, and ensure profitability.
  • Oversee branch safety, compliance with regulatory and internal policies — including Shariah principles, KYC, and AML
3. Lead Credit Success & Recovery
  • Offer tailored solutions by understanding client needs and matching them with the Bank’s offerings.
  • Ensure timely and complete credit applications and fast-track approvals through active coordination.
  • Proactively manage collections, especially for high-value clients, with timely follow-up on arrears.
4. Inspire & Build High-Performing Teams
  • Provide clear direction, performance leadership, and motivation to the Branch team.
  • Mentor and develop staff, identify skill gaps, and recommend targeted learning interventions.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field required; professional banking qualifications (e.g., AKIB) are a plus.
  • At least 5 years of progressive banking experience, with proven leadership and strong performance results.
  • Sound knowledge of branch operations, banking policies, legal/regulatory frameworks, and risk management.
