Role Profile
- The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving area sales targets by building, managing, and motivating a high-performing sales team. This is a full-time position reporting to the Area Sales Manager. Compensation includes a competitive base salary plus commission.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a strong team of commission-based sales agents.
- Develop clear and effective sales strategies, including lead-generation initiatives.
- Support and train sales agents to effectively pitch to customer groups such as chamas.
- Monitor daily performance of agents to ensure active selling and provide necessary support.
- Submit regular sales performance reports to the Area Sales Manager.
- Identify training needs and collaborate with the HR team to schedule relevant programs.
- Liaise with the local Shop Administrator to ensure Field Agents have timely and adequate stock.
- Monitor market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities and share insights with management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in sales or microfinance, with a strong record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Essential experience working in rural areas.
- Proven experience in recruiting and managing commission-based sales agents.
- Strong leadership and outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinking and planning ability.
- Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet targets.
- A diploma or degree in a related field is an added advantage.
