Laboratory Technologist

Job Description

Aga Khan Hospital, Mombasa (AKHS Kenya) is seeking a qualified Laboratory Technologist to be based at the Malindi Outreach Centre.
Key Responsibilities

• Receive, process, and test specimens in line with SOPs.
• Conduct quality control and ensure accurate, timely reporting of results.
• Maintain laboratory records, equipment, reagents, and consumables.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and quality standards.
• Support specimen referral, reporting, and general laboratory operations.

Requirements

• Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences.
• Registered with KMLTTB with a valid practicing license.
• At least 2 years’ experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Knowledge of laboratory quality standards; ISO 15189, JCIA, and SafeCare is an added advantage.
