• A mean grade D (plain) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education or its equivalent from a recognized institution; and

3.EXT/KMF/TEMP/3 - Laboratory Technician (1 Post)b)Person Specifications

• A certificate in any of the following fields: Laboratory Science, Laboratory Technology, Food technology, environmental studies from a recognized institution; OR Occupational/Proficiency Test Certificate Grade III/II/I in Civil Engineering for Geological Laboratories from a recognized institution; Certificate in Computer applications skills from a recognized institution; and

7.EXT/KMF/TEMP/7 - Engineering Technician (1 Post)b) Person Specifications

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C plain (C) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Diploma / Technician certificate part II in Electrical / Building / Civil, Engineering, OR 2nd Class Marine Engineer Certificate of Competency - Unlimited or Limited in their respective fields, from the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) or its equivalent qualification from recognized institution;
• Registration with a relevant authority;
• Proficiency in computer applications; and

8.EXT/KMF/TEMP/8 - Accountant (6 Posts)

• For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -
• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Business Management (Finance option) or other relevant and equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution, or completed Part III of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) of Kenya examinations, or its equivalent qualification;
• Minimum KCSE C+ (plus) or its equivalent;
• Proficiency in computer applications;

9. EXT/KMF/TEMP/9 - Accountant Assistant (2 Posts) b). Persons Specifications

• For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
• Passed Part I of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Examinations or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Minimum KCSE C- (minus) or its equivalent; and
• Proficiency in computer applications.

10. EXT/KMF/TEMP/10 – Assistant Human Resource Officer (6 Posts) b) Person Specifications

• For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
• Diploma in Human Resource or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Minimum KCSE C- (minus) or its equivalent;
• Proficiency in computer applications; and

11.EXT/KMF/TEMP/11 – ICT Officer (2 Posts) b) Person Specifications

• For appointment to this grade an officer must have at least:

• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Library Studies, Information Science or other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;

15.EXT/KMF/TEMP/15 – First Mate (Desk Officer) (1 Post) b) Person Specifications

• For appointment to the position of a First Mate, a candidate must have: -
• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a mean grade C (Plain) or its equivalent;
• Diploma in Navigation or equivalent qualification;
• Certificates of competency in Class 1 Coasting/ class 1 Inland Waters/ unlimited or equivalent;
• Served at the grade of a second mate or its equivalent for at least three (3) years;
• Supervisory course lasting not less than two (2) weeks; and
• Recency: 90 days sea time in the past three (3) years on vessels of appropriate tonnage as a second mate.

16.EXT/KMF/TEMP/16 – Coxswain (1 Post) b) Person Specifications

• For appointment to the position of a Coxswain, a candidate must have: -
• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a mean grade D+ (Plus) or its equivalent;
• Coxswain certificate of competency or any other relevant equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution; and
• Proven experience of at least three (3) years in piloting small boats.

17.EXT/KMF/TEMP/17 – Business Development Officer (1 Post)

• For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Entrepreneurship Development, Marketing, Business Management or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a mean grade C+ (Plus) or its equivalent; and
• Proficiency in computer applications;

18.EXT/KMF/TEMP/18 – Assistant Sales and Marketing Officer (1 Posts)

• For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-
• Diploma in Entrepreneurship Development, Marketing, Business Management or relevant field from a recognized institution;
• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a mean grade C- (Minus) or its equivalent and
• Proficiency in computer applications;

19.EXT/KMF/TEMP/19 – Planning Officer (1 Post) b) Persons Specification

• For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
• Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Economics, or Economics and Mathematics, or Economics and Statistics, Development Studies or equivalent from a recognized institution;
• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a mean grade C+ (Plus) or its equivalent; and

20.EXT/KMF/TEMP/20 – Records Management Officer (2 Posts) b)Person Specifications

• For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
• Bachelors Degree in Information Science Management, Records Management or any of the Social Sciences plus a Certificate in Records Management / Information Management or its equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution;
• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C + (C Plus) from the Kenya National Examination Council or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Proficiency in computer applications;

21.EXT/KMF/TEMP/21 – Assistant Research Scientist (6 Posts) b) Persons Specification

• For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
• Bachelor’s Honors degree or equivalent degree in any of the following fields: Aquatic or Fisheries Sciences, Biological or Physical Sciences, Natural Resources Management, Environmental studies, Geology, Sociology, Economics, Anthropology, Bio-statistics, Marine engineering, Biometrics, Biotechnology; or any other aquatic, fisheries and other relevant disciplines from a recognized University.
• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a minimum grade of C+ (Plus) or equivalent; and
• Proficiency in computer applications.

22.EXT/KMF/TEMP/22 – Security Officer (1 Post) b)Requirements for Appointment

• For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-
• Bachelor’s degree in Criminology or equivalent from recognized university;
• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a minimum grade of C+ (Plus) or equivalent;
• Service in the Police Force or Military;

23.EXT/KMF/TEMP/23 – Supplies Chain Management Officer (2 Posts) .b) Person specification

• For appointment to this grade a candidate must have: -
• i)Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C+ (Plus) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• ii)Bachelor’s degree in any of the following: Commerce, Business Administration (Supply Management option), economics, procurement and supply chain management, marketing, law or their equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and
• iii)Proficiency in computer applications.

24.EXT/KMF/TEMP/24 – Assistant Supplies Chain Management Officer (6 Posts) b) Person specification

• For appointment to this grade a candidate must have: -
• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C (Plain) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and
• Diploma in supplies Management or Foundation Stage Diploma in Supply chain Management from chartered institute of purchasing and supply (CIPS) or KISM or equivalent from a recognized institution.

25.EXT/KMF/TEMP/25 – Driver (3 Posts) b) Person Specifications

• For appointment to this grade a candidate must have: -
• At least One (1) year driving experience;
• At least a mean grade D+ (plus) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
• Valid driving license free from any current endorsements(s) for classes of the vehicles the driver is required to drive;
• Valid Certificate of Good Conduct; and
• Proficiency in computer applications;
