Network Engineer

Poa! internet is the fastest growing and highly innovative ISP in Kenya. The company was founded in 2014 with a vision to provide internet in every home in Africa. At poa! We believe by empowering people, we can actively drive digital inclusion in these markets. We deploy a cost-effective internet service in Kenya, with the aim of providing affordable access to content and Internet to low-income members of society. We are growing very fast to cover the rest of Kenya and eventually Africa. It is envisaged that the success of the business will grow to over 150 networks across East Africa. It is from this background that we seek prospective candidates to fill the role of a Network Engineer in our Network Department.
Overall Responsibility: Network Engineer

1. Responsible for deploying, commissioning, and maintaining wireless sites to ensure high-quality installations, maximum uptime, and strict safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and commission wireless sites on time and to quality standards
• Maintain 99.9% tower uptime through proactive and reactive support
• Ensure safety, legal, and documentation compliance with zero repeat installs
• Manage site conduct, materials accountability, team productivity, and reporting

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or related field
• Experience in wireless network deployment with strong RF, IT, and outdoor installation skills
• Ability to work at heights and in fast-paced field environments
• Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and willingness to travel across Kenya
