Nursery School Teacher

Job Description

Jaffery Academy Mombasa is looking for a qualified, passionate, and committed Nursery School Teacher to join the Early Years team.
Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver structured lessons aligned with the Early Years curriculum
• Prepare weekly and termly lesson plans and schemes of work
• Carry out continuous assessments and prepare learner progress reports
• Maintain accurate academic and attendance records
• Manage classroom behaviour while ensuring learner safety and wellbeing
• Provide individualized support to learners
• Communicate learner progress effectively with parents
• Participate in school meetings, trainings, and co-curricular activities
• Support school events and other assigned institutional duties

Educational & Professional Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE)
• Registration with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC)
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years / Kindergarten curriculum framework
• At least 2 years’ teaching experience in an Early Years setting
• ICT proficiency for lesson preparation, record keeping, and reporting
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with young learners
