Job Description

Compassion is a Christ-centered, child-focused, church-driven organization serving children and youth in poverty. In Kenya, it is duly registered with the Public Benefits Organizations Regulatory Authority (PBORA) and has continued to provide life- transforming interventions for over 40 years. Compassion International is seeking a  Partnership Facilitator I, you will serve as an entry-level liaison to local churches, supporting their ownership, capacity, and resources to minister to children and youth. You will nurture respectful, trusting relationships, learn the Partner Management process, and assist in strengthening church outcomes under the guidance of a supervisor.
What will you do?
  • Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and uphold Compassion’s values in conduct and prayer.
  • Advocate for children, prioritize child protection, follow the Code of Conduct, and report any concerns.
  • Serve and empower the church using Compassion’s ministry philosophies.
  • Support church maturation through a developmental mindset and the Partnership Management process.
  • Assist church partners in delivering child and youth ministry plans and implementing strategies that engage parents, caregivers, children, and youth.
  • Work with CFT members to engage key influencers like parents, schools, and peers.
  • Facilitate connections to local resources and support local resource mobilization.
  • Program Cycle Support - Assist with needs assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of church-led child and youth interventions.
  • Help churches develop annual plans and budgets and monitor progress of chosen interventions.
  • CFT Coordination & Cluster Operations - Coordinate CFT support based on church needs and context using the Facilitation Workplan.
  • Document support, follow up with senior facilitators, and help manage a small or low-complexity cluster of churches.
  • Support collaboration between churches and monitor partnership agreement renewals.
  • Child Protection - Help church partners apply child protection standards, compile resources, support investigations, and ensure timely reporting of allegations.
  • Support delivery of sponsor and program commitments.
  • Identify church needs and consult senior team members for appropriate solutions.

What do you bring?
  1. Bachelor’s degree 
  2. 1–2 years’ professional experience (youth experience preferred).
  3. Based in Mombasa or Kwale or willing to relocate.
  4. Strong English communication, Microsoft Office proficiency, and ability to travel up to 50%.
