Pharmaceutical Technologist – Theatre
  1. Reporting to: Credit Controller (administratively) and Pharmacy Manager (functionally)
The role holder will be responsible for ensuring efficient management of medical and surgical supplies within the Theatre, including accurate stock handling, proper documentation, and timely billing of theatre procedures.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate ordering of pharmaceutical, medical, and surgical supplies, ensuring consistent stock levels in line with approved reorder guidelines.
  • Receive and verify deliveries to the Theatre Billing Store, ensuring quantities match issue notes and all documentation is correctly completed.
  • Uphold cold chain management standards and maintain compliance with all storage procedures.
  • Review expiry dates of incoming stock, record short-dated items, and escalate to the Manager where necessary.
  • Monitor and document room and refrigerator temperatures daily to ensure proper storage conditions.
  • Dispense medication accurately and in a timely manner to maintain quality service standards.
  • Track slow-moving and short-expiry stock, coordinating transfers or returns in collaboration with other departments.
  • Maintain an updated pharmaceutical reference database for accurate, efficient service delivery.
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma in Pharmacy.
  • Registration with the Pharmacy & Poisons Board.
  • Valid Annual Practice License and membership with the Kenya Pharmaceutical Association.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an inpatient or outpatient environment.
  • Knowledge of CARE 2000 hospital management information system is an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of locally available drugs and their uses.
  • Must demonstrate alignment with the Hospital’s values and ethical standards.

2. Resident Medical Officers (RMOs)
  • Reporting to: Medical Director
The successful candidates will provide high-quality medical care to both inpatient and outpatient clients, ensuring excellence in diagnosis, treatment, and patient management.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB/MBBS) from a recognized institution.
  • Registration and licensing by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
  • At least 2 years of independent clinical practice.
  • Mandatory: Valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
