- Senior Human Resource Officer I - REF: PU/ADV/01/07/2026
- The role provides strategic and operational leadership of the Human Resource function, including HR policies, staff development, recruitment, performance management, employee welfare, and compliance with labour laws.
Key Requirements
- Master’s degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Professional certification in Human Resource Management (CHRP-K).
- Membership in a recognized HR professional body such as IHRM.
- At least 19 years of continuous relevant experience, including 3 years at Senior Human Resource Officer II level or equivalent.
- Experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, staff welfare, pensions and benefits, training and development, and HR policy development.
- Strong leadership, integrity, accountability, teamwork, and professionalism.
- Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
2. Senior Lecturer in Plant Pathology - REF: PU/ADV/01/08/2026
- The position provides academic and research leadership, including teaching, supervision, research, and mentorship of junior academic staff and students.
Key Requirements
- PhD in Applied Biology (Nematology), Master’s in Nematology, and BSc in Horticulture from recognized universities.
- At least 3 years’ experience as a University Lecturer.
- Supervised at least 3 postgraduate students to completion since appointment as Lecturer.
- Evidence of research, effective teaching, and participation in academic conferences, seminars, or workshops.
- Experience in academic leadership, student advising, departmental activities, committees, and institutional responsibilities.
- Registration with the relevant professional body where applicable.
- Demonstrated skills in leadership, teaching, research, supervision, proposal writing, report writing, and research publication.
