Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) Trainer

Jijenge Youth Initiative (JYI) is seeking a qualified Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) Trainer to support the implementation of the Youth Voice Empowerment Project in partnership with SHOFCO. The project aims to empower youth and women through climate-smart agriculture, agribusiness development, and green job creation in Kilifi County.

1. Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) Trainer
2. Contract Duration: 11 Months (Renewable subject to funding)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver practical training on herbs and spices production using Climate-Smart Agriculture approaches.
• Facilitate sessions on agribusiness, value addition, and marketing.
• Provide mentorship and technical support to participants.
• Promote inclusive learning in line with Gender, Equity, and Social Inclusion (GESI) principles.
• Conduct assessments and submit training reports.

Requirements

• Diploma in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agricultural Extension, or a related field.
• Experience in Climate-Smart Agriculture and herbs & spices production.
• Proven experience in youth and community training.
• Strong participatory training and facilitation skills.
• Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
• Must be a Kenyan citizen.
